When is the next sale in India?
Short answer
The big festive sales of 2026 have already started: Amazon Great Indian Festival on 8 October and Flipkart Big Billion Days on 9 October. Diwali is Sunday 8 November 2026. After that, Myntra's winter End of Reason Sale is expected in early December and the Republic Day sales in mid-January 2027, but no store has announced those dates yet. Every row below says whether the date is confirmed or only expected, and where it came from.

The calendar, October 2026 to March 2027
In this table, Confirmed means the organiser's own announcement (or a news report quoting it). Expected means we are inferring from last year's pattern or a deal site, and the source is named. Reported means a deal site says it is happening and the organiser has not confirmed it. Festival date (almanac) is a calendar date from Drik Panchang, not a store announcement. Not announced means we found nothing reliable.

A festival date is not a sale date. Diwali and Holi are fixed by the panchang, but each store chooses when to run its own sale around them.
How to prepare for a sale
- Check the price two to four weeks before. Note what the item costs today on the store you will use. A sale price can only be judged against a price you actually saw.
- Note the MRP and the typical price. The MRP is a printed ceiling, and "50% off" is measured against whatever reference the seller chose. The price you normally see is the better yardstick. See MRP vs selling price.
- Check whether the price rose just before the sale. Our guide was the price raised before the sale shows how, using a simple log.

- Count only offers you qualify for. A bank card offer lowers your payable amount only if you hold that card and meet its terms.
Nothing here predicts a price. It only helps you compare a sale price with what you saw earlier.
Why some dates are only expected
Stores announce festive sales a few days to a few weeks ahead. Until then, any date is a guess from last year's pattern. We would rather show a gap than invent a date. Where a store has not announced, the row says so and keeps last year's date as context only.

Myntra's winter End of Reason Sale is expected in early December 2026, because the 2025 edition started on 5 December. Myntra had not announced new dates when we last checked on 20 October 2026. The Republic Day sales are expected in mid-January 2027, based on 16 and 17 January in 2026.
When is Diwali in 2026?
Diwali, with Lakshmi Puja, falls on Sunday 8 November 2026 according to Drik Panchang. Dhanteras is Friday 6 November 2026 on the same calendar. Some sellers run offers around these days, but each store announces its own dates.
Is the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 over?
We could not confirm an end date. Amazon India announced a start of 8 October 2026, as reported by Outlook Business, and we found no published end date. Check the Amazon app for the live status.
When did Flipkart Big Billion Days 2026 start?
Flipkart's own newsroom says the 13th edition began on 9 October 2026, with early access from 8 October for Plus, BLACK and Flipkart credit card members. The release does not give an end date, so check the Flipkart app.
When will the Amazon and Flipkart Republic Day sales 2027 start?
Neither has announced 2027 dates as of 20 October 2026. In 2026 Amazon's sale started on 16 January and Flipkart's on 17 January, with Plus and BLACK access a day earlier. We treat mid-January 2027 as expected, not confirmed.
Are sale dates on deal websites reliable?
Treat them as expected unless the store itself or a news report quoting it gives the date. Deal sites often publish estimates from last year's pattern. On this page, confirmed means the organiser announced it, and expected means we are inferring from last year or a deal site.
