How articles are made
Articles are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then checked against the sources they cite and published by the HAULS team. AI tools can make mistakes, which is why every article lists its sources and a last-checked date, and why we correct errors in the open (see Corrections below).
Sources
Each article lists the sources it relies on. We prefer primary sources: a store’s own pages, an official help page, a government release or a published rule. Where a source could not be opened, such as a store page that blocks automated access, we say so in the article instead of stating the fact from memory. We do not describe a store’s policy or feature unless we could check it.
Dates and updates
Articles show when they were published, when they were last updated and when their facts and sources were last checked. We do not change a date just to look fresh, and we do not print sale dates we could not confirm on the store’s own page.
Examples and images
Worked examples that use made-up prices are labelled as illustrative. Some article images are original HAULS illustrations; others are free-licence photos from Unsplash. Photos are used as illustration only and do not show the products or stores discussed.
Independence
HAULS does not take payment for rankings, sponsored placement or affiliate-biased recommendations, and articles do not accuse a named seller, brand or marketplace of cheating anyone. See the methodology. HAULS is pre-launch: the browser extension described in some articles does not exist yet, and anything said about it is about what is planned.
Corrections
If you find an error, email hauls.support@gmail.com. We correct the article, note the correction with its date, and update the “last checked” date. See also About HAULS.
