Price Drop Alert on Flipkart and Myntra: What We Could Confirm
How to get a price drop alert on Flipkart and Myntra: what we could and could not confirm in each app, a calendar method, and third-party tools.

On this page
How do I get a price drop alert on Flipkart or Myntra?
We could not confirm a built-in price-drop alert in either app. Flipkart's Help Centre lists no such topic, and Myntra's FAQ page has no topic on price-drop alerts. Use Google's price tracking, a tracker that names the store, or a calendar reminder with a target price. Read 20 October 2026; check your own app, as screens change often.
The rest of this guide shows each option, what it costs you in permissions, and when an alert is a trap. For Amazon, see our separate guide to price drop alerts for Amazon in India.

Does Flipkart have a price drop alert?
We could not find one described by Flipkart. Its Help Centre, read on 20 October 2026, lists help topics for orders, payments, shipping, cancellations and returns, plus an FAQ, and none of them is about wishlist or price-drop alertsFlipkart . That is not proof the app has no such feature.
The Flipkart FAQ page returned an error when we tried to read it. So the honest position is: not confirmed. In your Flipkart app, open your account, look for notification settings and the Wishlist, and see whether any option mentions price. If you find one, test it on a single product before you rely on it.
Does Myntra send wishlist price drop notifications?
We could not confirm it either way. Myntra's FAQ page, which we read on 20 October 2026, has no topic on price-drop alerts, so we have no official statement to quote. The one Myntra page we found about wishlists is a blog post from 20 June 2017 about making a wishlist for the End of Reason Sale, which says nothing about price alerts.
Practical steps: save the item to your Wishlist, check the notification settings in your Myntra profile, and test with one item. If nothing reaches you when the price changes, treat the Wishlist as a bookmark and use a tracker that names Myntra. Myntra prices can differ by size, so alert on the exact size.
How do I set a target price when the store has no alert?
Pick a target from the product's history, set a calendar reminder, and check by hand. It works in any store and needs no permissions. It is slower than an automatic alert, and you can miss a short flash price.
- Open the product and screenshot the price, with the date visible.
- Note the lowest price you have seen for it. Our guide to checking price history shows how.
- Set a target slightly above that low, for example ₹1,899 if the low was ₹1,799.
- Add a calendar reminder every 3 to 4 days, and before each big sale.
- At each reminder, screenshot the price again and compare with your target.
- Buy only if the final checkout price, with delivery and offers you can use, is at or below the target.
Can Google track a Flipkart or Myntra price?
Google's price tracking is a no-extension option. Its help page says you can optionally select a target price, and that you get a push notification in the Google app and an email when the price falls below it. You need to be signed in with notifications turned on. It is listed as available in IndiaGoogle Shopping Help .
The page does not list which stores or merchants it covers, so we cannot say it works for a given Flipkart or Myntra listing. Try it on the product you want. Google also says prices are dynamic and features may not be available on all devices.
Which third-party tools offer alerts for Flipkart and Myntra?
Several say they do. BuyHatke and Flipshope name both stores; PriceHistory names Flipkart for tracking but not Myntra. These are each vendor's own claims, read on 20 October 2026. We have not installed or tested any of them, and we make no claim about how reliable their alerts are. For a wider list, see best price trackers in India.
How do Flipkart and Myntra compare for alerts?
| Store | Native alert? | Third-party options | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flipkart | Not confirmed. Help Centre lists no such topic.Flipkart Check notification settings and Wishlist in your app. | BuyHatke (target-price alerts)BuyHatke , Flipshope (alerts at a price you set)Flipshope , PriceHistory (email, SMS, app, Telegram)PriceHistory , Google Track price | |
| Myntra | Not confirmed. Myntra's FAQ page has no topic on price-drop alerts. Check your Wishlist and profile notification settings. | BuyHatke, Flipshope, both naming Myntra on their sites. PriceHistory lists Myntra but says tracking is enabled only for Amazon and Flipkart. | |
| Any store (manual) | Not needed. | Calendar reminder plus a dated screenshot. |
Keepa covers Amazon onlyChrome Web Store , so it is not an option for Flipkart or Myntra.
What do these tools say about their own limits?
Few state hard limits. Flipshope says it cannot predict future prices, that history is available only on supported stores, and that some listings show "Price may have changed". It does not state how many alerts you can set, how they are delivered or how oftenFlipshope .
PriceHistory says products on its Daily Tracking list are checked at least once a day, that other tracking depends on activity and popularity, and that it does not claim its data is free from errorPriceHistory . BuyHatke's page states no limits on alertsBuyHatke . Missing limits are not the same as no limits, so assume an alert can be late.
What should I check before giving an alert tool access?
Check what it can read, who runs it and how it earns before you install. A tracker that names only the stores it needs is a better sign than one that asks to read every site. Our checklist, are price tracker extensions safe in India, covers seven checks.
A short version:
- Permissions. Does it ask for "all websites" or only the stores it names?
- Privacy policy. Does it exist, and does it match the store listing?
- Business model. Does it say how it earns, for example affiliate links?
- Account. Does it need your email or phone for SMS alerts? Give only what the alert needs.
- Notifications. Allow only the channel you will actually read.
If a tool needs more than it should, the calendar method costs you nothing in data.
When is a price drop alert a trap?
An alert becomes a trap when it makes you buy faster than you can check. The common cases are countdown timers, "only 2 left" messages and "price drops in 10 minutes" banners. India's Central Consumer Protection Authority notified its Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns on 30 November 2023, and false urgency is on the list of specified patternsSCC Online .
We have not checked any particular listing against that rule, and this is not legal advice. What you can do:
- Ignore the timer and check the price history first.
- Check whether the price was raised before the sale; see was the price raised before the sale.
- Look at the final price, not the badge. A "50% off" tag is a gap between two numbers; see is that discount real.
- If an alert fires during a big sale, wait for the history to confirm it is a low and not just a return to a normal price.
What does a worked example look like?
Say you want a pair of sports shoes listed at ₹2,499 on Myntra, and you have seen it as low as ₹1,799. Setting a target of ₹1,500 is unrealistic, because it has never been that low and the alert may never fire. A target of ₹1,899 sits just above the known low and is likely to trigger.
When the alert arrives at ₹1,899, open the product, choose your size, and add delivery or any fee at checkout. If the final amount is still at or under ₹1,899, buy. If a size you need is gone, the alert did not help you, and that is a sign to set one on the next-best size too.
How far back should I look before trusting an alert?
Look at a window long enough to include a past sale. A drop that looks good against 30 days can look ordinary against a year. Our guide on how far back to check price history explains how to choose.
An alert fires on your number, so a bad target gives a bad alert. Set the target from history, not from the badge.
Hinglish mein: flipkart par price drop alert kaise lagaye?
Hume Flipkart ke official help pages par price drop alert ka koi page nahi mila (20 Oct 2026), aur Myntra ke FAQ page par price drop alert ka koi topic nahi hai. Isliye pehle apne app ki notification settings aur Wishlist dekhein. Agar kuch na mile, to Google ka Track price ya BuyHatke, Flipshope jaise tracker (ye unke apne dawe hain, humne test nahi kiye) try kijiye, aur ek hi product par pehle test kijiye.
Bina tool ke: product ka screenshot lein, apna target likhein, aur har 3-4 din me calendar reminder se price check karein. Timer ya "sirf 2 bache hain" dekhkar jaldi na karein; pehle price history dekhein. In English: use a tracker or a reminder, and check history before you buy.
What will HAULS do about price alerts?
HAULS is being built as an independent price-history and honest-discount checker for Indian shoppers. It is in closed beta and not publicly available. Price alerts are a planned feature, and nothing on this page is HAULS data. You can read the plan on the price alerts page, or join the waitlist.
How this page was checked
Last verified: 20 October 2026. We read Flipkart's Help Centre, Google's price tracking help page and each tool's own site. Flipkart's FAQ page returned an error when we tried it, and Myntra's FAQ page has no price-alert topic, so we state both as not confirmed. We did not install or test any tool. If something here is out of date or wrong, tell us through the about page and we will correct it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I set a price drop alert on Flipkart?
We could not find a Flipkart help page describing a price-drop alert, and its Help Centre topics (read 20 October 2026) list orders, payments, shipping, cancellations and returns. Use Google's Track price, a third-party tracker, or the calendar method in this guide. Check your own Flipkart app, because its screens change often.
Does Myntra send a price drop notification for wishlist items?
We could not confirm it. Myntra's FAQ page, read on 20 October 2026, has no topic on price-drop alerts, so we make no claim either way about the app. Open your Myntra app, check your Wishlist and the notification settings in your profile, and test with one item. If nothing arrives, use a tracker that names Myntra.
Flipkart par price drop alert kaise lagaye?
Flipkart ke official help pages par hume price drop alert ka koi page nahi mila (20 Oct 2026). Isliye Google ka Track price ya BuyHatke, Flipshope jaise tracker (ye unke apne dawe hain, humne test nahi kiye) try kijiye, aur ek hi product par pehle test kijiye. Ya phir calendar me reminder lagakar roz ek screenshot se price compare karein. In English: use a tracker or a manual reminder.
Which third-party tools can alert me for Flipkart and Myntra?
On their own sites, BuyHatke and Flipshope name Flipkart and Myntra and describe price-drop alerts. PriceHistory lists Myntra but says tracking is enabled only for Amazon and Flipkart. Keepa covers Amazon only. These are the vendors' own claims, read 20 October 2026, and we have not tested them.
Can I get a price drop alert without installing an extension?
Yes. Google's price tracking works through your Google Account and the Google app, with push and email alerts, and is listed as available in India. Some trackers also offer a website or a mobile app. Without any tool, use a calendar reminder and a screenshot of the price.
How do I set a target price if the store has no alert?
Note today's price, the lowest price you have seen and the date. Pick a target slightly above that low, add a calendar reminder every 3 to 4 days, and screenshot the price each time. Buy only if the final checkout price, with delivery and usable offers, is at or below your target.
Are price drop alerts safe to use?
They can be, if you check permissions first. A tracker should ask to read only the stores it names, publish a privacy policy, and say how it earns money. Our extension safety checklist walks through seven checks. Remove any tool that asks for more access than it needs.
Is a price drop alert always a good deal?
No. An alert only says the price fell below your number. It does not say the price is fair. Compare against the product's price history, and check the final price at checkout, before you buy.
Can urgency timers and 'only 2 left' messages be trusted?
Not on their own. India's dark patterns guidelines of 2023 list false urgency as a specified dark pattern, so a timer or stock count can be misleading. Treat it as a prompt to check the price history, not as a reason to buy at once.
How often do trackers check prices?
It varies and most do not say. PriceHistory says products on its Daily Tracking list are checked at least once a day, and other tracking depends on activity and popularity. Flipshope does not state alert frequency. A fast flash-sale price can come and go between checks.
